B.A. Sociology/Anthropology, Indiana University Northwest -- Gary

Research

Biocultural medical anthropology, global health, maternal and child health, nutritional assessment, nutrition and HIV/AIDS, rural livelihoods, food security, and hunger with a focus on Haiti. In particular, I am interested in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs addressing food security, health, and poverty alleviation. In addition, I am interested in the impact of the multitude of NGOs in Haiti on the health of communities, households, and individuals in rural areas, as well as the effect of such organizations on access to resources.
